Billions borrowed to finance activities throughout California

Many Californians who vote know that there are often a variety of bond issues on the ballot. Public entities sell bonds and incur other types of debt in order to raise money for road and bridge repairs, new construction projects and even to promote stem cell research. Cities and departments must then repay the debt with interest. Search 10 years of data, through 2008, to see what activities state and local entities financed through borrowing.

Simply click "Search" to return everything. Use any combination of fields in the search box to filter the data. On a results page, click a header link to sort the data.
