According to the most recent report, the estimated number of violent crimes in the nation declined for the second year in a row. Property crimes also declined in 2008, marking the sixth-straight year these numbers have dropped. Explore information from thousands of cities across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, including hundreds of California communities. Because some agencies do not participate in the voluntary crime-reporting program, some cities are not included in this data.
