Senate candidates spend millions to unseat Boxer

It's not as pricey as the governor's race, but California's crowded race to unseat incumbent U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer hasn't been cheap, either. Boxer and her four Republican rivals dropped more than $8 million between January 2009 and the end of March, with the biggest spending yet to come.

Thanks to the Federal Election Commission, it is now easier than ever to see exactly how the candidates spend their money. Did you know, for example, that Tom Campbell has taken enough trips on Southwest Airlines to earn more than two free flights? That Carly Fiorina has spent more than $1 million on consultants?
