The state has attempted to document the wildfire history of California. The records, while incomplete, span more than 100 years and include tens of thousands of fires through 2008.
Simply click "Search" to return everything. Use any combination of fields in the search box to filter the data. On a results page, click a header link to sort the data. When you see the symbols >=, it means that your search will return results that are "more than or equal to" the figure you enter.
Source: California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Data comes from the statewide interagency personal geodatabase of wildfire history. California Watch assigned county names based on the fire perimeter defined in the geodatabase. Read the methodology for more information about the data.
