E-advocacy training in Eastern Coachella Valley
In "On edge of paradise, Coachella workers live in grim conditions," California Watch contributor Patricia Leigh Brown details many of the issues that residents of the Eastern Coachella Valley face. This week, The California Endowment, Building Healthy Communities and CANFIT are teaming up to provide youth and adult training sessions on e-advocacy. The workshops will teach residents how to use the Internet and social media to build a community and advocate for change. The adult training takes place at 11 a.m. Thursday. The youth training takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday. Call Esperanza Navarro at 760-574-0736 to learn whether you are eligible to attend.
