Center for Investigative Reporting staffers Michael Corey, Jon Cotton, Sergio Soria, Agustin Armendariz, David Suriano, Chase Davis and Meghann Farnsworth will attend NewsHack Day in San Francisco. The three-day event begins with a code camp focused on connecting data and investigative journalism. Participants will then spend the weekend identifying data-driven stories and building hacks to improve reporting, producing and publishing. The 48-hour hackathon is at the Hub SoMa, and free food and cocktails will be provided by Airbnb's executive chef Sam Lippman and Tim West.
The hackathon is free, but space is limited. Click here to register.
