Public Engagement Manager Marie McIntosh will attend Returning Veterans of America's “Welcome Home” event in Orinda. The workshop will serve as a means to transition veterans who have recently returned home from wars back to their lives at home, as well as a way for vets to connect with each other. 

Returning Veterans of America is a new nonprofit based in the East Bay that aims to get recently returned veterans involved in the community – from connecting with fellow vets on issues that affect them, to volunteering or sponsoring youth programs to help combat the isolation that is commonly felt upon return to post-service life. The event is free and open to all veterans and their families.
