Education reporter Joanna Lin will attend the fifth annual Unity Convention, a gathering of journalists of color; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender journalists; journalism students; and other media professionals. The event is sponsored by UNITY: Journalists of Color, a coalition of the Asian American Journalists Association, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Native American Journalists Association and National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association. Attendees will have the option of participating in a series of educational workshops, media receptions and a career expo, among other events.
