The most expensive universities for undergraduate students living on campus are all private institutions, according to 2008-2009 data. UC Berkeley is the most expensive public university, with expenses totalling more than $25,000 per year. These costs include: tuition, books, supplies, on-campus housing fees and living expenses. However, when living costs are excluded, Scripps College is the most expensive.
Here are the five most expensive private universities in the state.
