Who are California's juvenile inmates?

Many of the juvenile inmates at California prisons are male and booked in Los Angeles County, according to a recent report by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Find out more about the juvenile prison population in the infographic below.

 

* The State of California classifies some young adults, including those above the age of 18, as juveniles. Those inmates classified as "juvenile" by the Division of Juvenile Justice are represented here.

Source: California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Annual Report (Fall 2009). Statistics are as of December 31, 2008 and include inmates processed by the Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

and how many of the 56.4% are in the nation illegally??? What about the "other" catagory??? why not reduce the cost of the jail time and just deport them if they are in the USA illegally-send their parents home also so we don't have to pay for them either!
