Thanks for this, a very interesting discussion. In the U.S., mothers and babies are paying the price for the doctors fear of malpractice. Instead of the promise to First Do No Harm, the question arises How can I win in malpractice court. I do feel that there was not enough mentioned about the epidemic of inductions and the link that induced labor has on the increasing cesarean section rate - not to mention the increasing rate of preterm birth.
