The California Report: Many college buildings still vulnerable to quakes

Over the past thirty years, the University of California and the Cal State system have spent well over a billion dollars shoring up seismically unsafe buildings. But the two systems still have nearly 180 buildings judged to be at risk in a major earthquake.

Every building is at risk in a major earthquake. I dont get what is the big deal. Of course you can always "transfer" all your real estate to an area that has no earthquakes. Yeah i see that happening.
