Bio

Reporter and columnist David Downs has covered the arts, technology and criminal justice for publications including Wired, Rolling Stone, The Onion, The New York Times and the East Bay Express. David was a fellow at Northwestern University's Academy for Alternative Journalism and earned a degree in English literature from UC Santa Barbara. He has received numerous professional honors, including a 2010 Knight-Batten Award for Innovations in Journalism.
