Bio

Emily Hartley is a reporting intern assigned to California Watch. She will graduate from Carleton College next spring with a degree in English and a concentration in East Asian Studies, as well as a French language certificate. At Carleton, she is managing editor of The Carletonian, the school's student-run newspaper. Prior to coming to the Center for Investigative Reporting, Emily worked as a reporting intern at The Northfield News in Northfield, Minn., and The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead in Fargo, N.D.
