Bio

Gloria Duffy is the president and CEO of the Commonwealth Club of California. During the Clinton administration, she served as deputy assistant secretary of defense and special coordinator for cooperative threat reduction. Duffy has founded two international affairs organizations and served in positions at the Rand Corporation, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, Ploughshares Fund, the Arms Control Association and Stanford University. She currently serves on, or has served on, the boards of over two dozen national and community organizations.
