John Raess
Bio
John Raess is the chief of bureau for the Associated Press in Northern California, Northern Nevada and Hawaii. He joined the Associated Press from TheStreet.com. He worked at the Peninsula Times Tribune, Oakland Tribune and San Jose Mercury News in varying roles. While at the Mercury News, he started Digital High, an online national newspaper for teens. Raess is on the board of the First Amendment Coalition and is a member of the California Judicial Council's Bench Bar Media Steering Committee.
