Bio

Julia Scott is an investigative reporter for print and radio based in San Francisco. She writes about water resources, urban pollution, food production and energy issues for a variety of publications. Scott also covers regional environmental issues as a staff writer for the San Mateo County Times, one of the Bay Area News Group outlets. She has received numerous reporting awards and fellowships, and was selected as Outstanding Emerging Journalist of the Year by the Northern California chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in 2008. Scott is exploring water issues for California Watch.
