Leo Wolinsky is the editor of the Daily Variety. He is an award-winning news executive with more than 30 years of media experience, including more than a decade as a top-level editor at the Los Angeles Times. While there, he held the posts of executive editor, managing editor for news and associate editor for entertainment and features. He was also responsible for all front-page decisions at the Los Angeles Times for more than a decade. While at the Times, Wolinsky directed coverage of the Los Angeles riots and Northridge earthquake, which earned the paper two Pulitzer prizes. He also served as the Times’ Sacramento bureau chief and as a reporter in a variety of positions focusing on California coverage.
