Stephanie Snyder is a reporting intern at the Center for Investigative Reporting covering the California Legislature and Gov. Jerry Brown. She recently graduated with master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, as well as a minor in Spanish. As a prospective investigative reporter, Stephanie has been involved with award-winning multimedia projects looking into safety issues facing the nation’s food supply and immigration policies in the Dominican Republic that impact the country’s large Haitian population. She has also acted as a regional reporter for Arizona covering federal health, education and social issues from Washington, D.C., and reported on the Arizona Legislature in Phoenix. During her time at ASU, Stephanie also co-founded an independent online student publication providing news to the downtown Phoenix community and remains involved as a publisher.
